forgot to say.......

This association 'treatments you can trust' are spreading the word throughout the media that if a practitioner is not on 'their register they are not competent and experienced.  This is wholly inaccurate as i am not on it and many of my colleagues are not.  This sounds arrogant but who can test and judge me - someone of 20 years experience and one of the first in the UK to inject fillers?  I have a database of over 3,500 and am busy 24/7.   No one has ever threatened to sue me or even mader a serious complaint about me after the many thousands of treatments i have performed.  I wouldn't  say I'm a clever person but I am honest, trustworthy and would never offer a treatment that was not suitable for my client.

'treatments you can trust'

There has been a lot of media coverage lately about the register 'treatments you can trust'.  this association reminds me of 'the mafia'  as it seems to be a kind of protection racket ie 'pay up or go out of business'
They have been given a 200k backing from the government for forming a register of 'reputable practitioners'.  Well....i am reputable, honest, concientious ,experienced and will not be joining this association.  Anyone can join providing they pay £1000 registration fee, show they have done the required training, are medically qualified and work in a safe environment.  I know of many practitioners, doctors, dentists and again rarely nurses who are money grabbing and put financial gain before patients well-being.  I actually know of a surgeon who is registered with them who has been sued three times for botched jobs!  I am sick of these do-gooders who know nothing about my industry and set themselves up to be an authority in it.  I would love to hear feeback from anyone who has suffered in the hands of these people and then i can check them out to see if they are in this 'association'

brunel and beauty and medical

Hi there.  I'm Christine Springer (a registered nurse) and  run a company called 'Brunel Beauty & Medical Ltd'  http://www.brunelbeautyandmedical.co.uk/  The company is a medical aesthetics company, offering many medically based beauty treatments. Our main  speciality is administering dermal fillers and injections of botox.
I have been doing these treatments for 19 years now and consider myself an expert in my field.  Over the recent years, many practitioners have set themselves up to be 'experts' by attending a one day training course then they are let loose on the general public and charging extortionate fees!  This year alone I  have seen many disasterous results with people who have had permanent fillers injected into them by inexperienced doctors or surgeons and rarely nurses.  Permanent or even 'semi permanent' products usually prove disasterous and should be banned because over the years, ones face changes ie skin gets thinner, face shape changes and the result is the fillers showing through the skin resulting in lumps and bumps. To put in some inexperienced persons hands a permanent filler can prove extremely dangerous to the general public. (remember the Leslie Ash scenario) The only way they can be removed is to be surgically removed resulting in scarring and disfigurement . The safest dermal fillers are H/A (hyaluronic acid)  based products.....they last approximately one year and if the filler is wrongly injected it can be removed using a substance to dissolve it.  I spend some of my time rectifying other peoples mistakes but the main thing is it can be rectified!  I also can mentor newly trained practitioners in how to deal with ladies and gents problems with ageing.  Its not all about injecting, it is important to educate the general public in how to slow down the ageing process, i.e. no sun exposure, no smoking etc.  When I talk about the sun and ciggarettes its quite funny that people know about the health risks and still carry on using them but when i tell them about how they speed up the ageing process, many of my clients do actually take heed!  I also find it odd that GPs don't readily  offer Champex tablets.....These tablets are amazing and one really does not need willpower to give up smoking with this medication!  Its probably that they are not cheap and some GPs do not see the bigger picture.  It will cost the NHS a lot more dealing with smoking related diseases.  With regars to the dermal fillers, I love using Teosyal.  The results are amazing and the product goes a long way.
Other treatments we offer are Sclerotherapy (thread vein removal), Botox, Microneedling, Microdermabrasion, Skin Peels and I have an amazing Radio Frequency machine which gives good results in skin tightening.
I would be interested to hear from anyone who has had a bad result with dermal fillers- perhaps i can help them.   Thank you for reading this.  Christine.  Brunel Beauty and Medical.
